Eligibility

Nationality:
The applicant must be a citizen of India in accordance with the Indian Citizenship Act of 1955.

Age limit –

 (i) Flying Branch: The minimum age requirement for applicants is 20, while the maximum age for the flying branch is 24. Applicants may have their upper age limit relaxed up to 26 years if they currently have a Commercial Pilot License granted by the DGCA (India).

(ii)Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: The minimum age for ground duty is 20, while the maximum age is 26.

Marital Status- Unmarried

Educational Qualifications:

  1. Flying Branch
    1. Passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Math and Physics at Class 10 + 2 and Graduation (minimum 3-year degree) in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
      OR
    2. Get a minimum of 60% in the Aeronautical Society of India or the section A and B test of the Institution of Engineers’ Associate Membership from an accredited university.
      OR
    3. Get a BE/B Tech degree with at least 60% overall or the equivalent from an accredited university.

  2. Ground Duty (Technical) Branch
    1. Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) –
      1. Passed with minimum 50% marks in both Physics and Maths in Class 12th.

Graduation/Post Graduation in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University.
Or

  1. Obtain a minimum or equivalent of 60% in the following disciplines to qualify in the Sections A and B examination of the Aeronautical Society of India, Associate Graduate Membership test of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, or Institution of Engineers (India)
  1. Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical)
    1. Minimum of 50% marks in each Physics and Math at Class 12th.

Graduation/Post-graduation in Engineering from recognized University.
OR

  1. Associate Membership of the Institute of Engineers (India) through actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following fields, as determined by the Aeronautical Society of India or Sections A and B examination.
  1. Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches
    1. Passed Higher Secondary Examination

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a minimum of a 60% grade point average in any major.
Or

  1. Get a minimum of 60% on the Aeronautical Society of India examination or the Associate Membership of the Institute of Engineers (India) test from an accredited university.
    1. Education Qualification
      1. Passed Higher Secondary Examination

Post-Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline and 60% marks in Graduation in any disciple.

  1. Meteorology
    1. Passed Higher Secondary Examination
    2. a postgraduate degree in any environmental science, applied physics, oceanography, meteorology, agricultural meteorology, ecology, science stream, mathematics, statistics, geography, computer applications & environment, geophysics, or environmental biology with at least 50% on all examinations.
