Dehradun Military Academy is a defence-exam preparation institute led by Director Mr. Sandeep Tamta. For Agniveer aspirants we offer written-exam coaching by qualified faculty, handwritten notes, practice papers and regular mock tests, plus physical training and obstacle practice under ex-military trainers on our GTO ground. Evening sports run through our 10+ sports academies. Our residential campus near Mall Road, Mussoorie has separate hostels for boys and girls, 24×7 CCTV, ex-army male and female wardens, an in-house nurse with a hospital tie-up and a mess with a fixed weekly meal plan. Every student follows a set daily plan: physical training in the morning, then classes on the CEE subjects, then doubt sessions to clear problems before they pile up. Teachers give handwritten notes and practice papers for each topic, and weekly and monthly mock tests show where marks are lost, whether through slow speed or careless negative marking. Trainers track each student’s running and pull-up progress. Parents receive a monthly progress report, students can revise on our e-learning app, and talks by retired officers keep motivation high.

Agniveers are soldiers, sailors and airmen recruited under the Agnipath scheme (started June 2022) for four years, training included; up to 25% of each batch may join the regular cadre on merit. Monthly pay rises from ₹30,000 in year one to ₹40,000 in year four, about 70% in hand. The rest goes to the Seva Nidhi fund, matched by the Government, which pays about ₹11.71 lakh tax-free, with interest, on exit.
Age: Check the latest official notification for the age limit. Candidates must be unmarried at enrolment. Height and chest standards differ from region to region, so follow the rally notification of your Zonal Recruiting Office (ZRO). Candidates from Garhwal and Kumaon should go by their ZRO’s notification.

The Technical, Clerk/SKT and Tradesman papers follow their own pattern; check marks and subjects in the current notification.
The PFT includes a 1.6 km run, pull-ups on a beam, a 9-ft ditch jump and a zig-zag balance. Timings, pull-up counts and marks are as per the rally notification.
Agniveer Vayu: 10+2 with Maths, Physics and English (50% aggregate and 50% in English) or a 3-year diploma; students of other streams can apply for the non-science option. Selection has an online test, adaptability tests and a medical. Navy: SSR needs 10+2 with Maths and Physics plus Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science; MR needs Class 10. Check the latest official notification for the age limit.
CEE: topic-wise classes, notes, mock tests and doubt sessions. Rally: daily running, pull-ups, ditch and balance practice. Medical: a fixed daily routine, mess meals and set rest hours on campus. Army Agniveer GD needs Class 10 with 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject; Technical and Clerk/SKT need 10+2; Tradesman needs Class 10 (Class 8 for some trades). Service lasts four years; up to 25% stay on as regulars, and the rest leave with about ₹11.71 lakh Seva Nidhi.

Yes. The Agniveer GD paper has 50 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes, and marks are deducted for wrong answers. That is why our mock tests train students to attempt carefully, skip doubtful questions and still finish the paper on time.
Candidates who clear the online CEE are called to the rally for the Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run, pull-ups, 9-ft ditch, zig-zag balance), measurements and then the medical. Timings and marks are as per the rally notification; height and chest standards vary by region, so follow your ZRO’s notification.
Yes. Girls can apply for Women Military Police in the Army and for Agniveer entries in the Navy and Air Force, as per each notification. At DMA, girls stay in a separate hostel with female ex-army wardens and train in the same written and physical programme.

Yes. Along with the Army entries, DMA trains aspirants for Agniveer Vayu and Navy SSR/MR with written-exam coaching and physical training. The subjects differ from the Army paper, so tell our counsellor which entry you are aiming for and we will confirm the right batch.
Dates for the 2027 recruitment have not been announced yet. The online exam comes first, followed by the rallies. Keep checking the official notification.
